English Language Courses for Children
Caring for children and young adults means we need to think of everything and we offer a complete package programme for our students.
The English Language Course

The English course for children includes 20 lessons per week (16.7 hours) in international classes of up to 10, 12 or 15 students (depending on the centre). Each lesson lasts for 50 minutes. On their first day students take a test to ensure they are placed in an appropriate level. There are six levels from beginner to advanced. Students will have a progress test in their English class every two weeks and meet individually with their teacher to review their progress. At the end of the course students will receive a certificate as a record of their English language studies.

The English Teachers
All our teachers are well-educated with recognised TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificates. They understand the particular needs of young learners. The language is brought to life through a vibrant and functional approach. In addition to formal language skills training, lessons include project work, games and use of St Giles International's wide variety of modern English language teaching resources.
Accommodation
All accommodation at a St Giles English Summer Course is residential on a boarding school or university campus. Depending on the centre, students will be in single or shared rooms. Our residences are modern, safe and offer a range of facilities. Students are always campus-based, alongside our residential staff and Centre Managers.
Activities & Excursions
Our programmes are packed with excursions, visits, sports, and games and are designed to have something for everyone. We include a full programme of daytime and evening activities, and at least 1 full-day and 1 half-day sightseeing excursion each week.
Summer Plus Options
Our Summer Plus options help you to get the most out of your summer. Improve your English, while also following your passion - be it for tennis, dance and the performing arts, open water sailing, or a more intensive language programme
Insurance
Junior students coming to study with us at St Giles should ensure they have adequate travel and medical insurance for their stay with us. We recommend the Student Guard cover offered by Course-u-can. You can visit their website for more details.
