Arriving in the UK, USA and Canada
When you arrive in the UK, USA or Canada, we recommend that you book our Airport Transfer Service.
We will arrange for a taxi to collect you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. We can also book you a taxi to take you back to the airport when you leave.

Alternatively, you may like to use public transportation to travel to your accommodation when you arrive. If you click on your chosen school below, you can find a guide on how to travel to the city by public transport.
Below are suggested routes to take from the main UK airports to Brighton by train:
Heathrow: You can take the Piccadilly Underground Line to South Kensington, and then change to take the District or Circle Underground Line to Victoria Station. This will take about 60 minutes. From Victoria Station you can take a mainline train to Eastbourne, which will take about 50 minutes. This will cost approximately £27.
Gatwick: From here you can take a mainline train directly to Brighton. It will take about 35 minutes and cost approximately £8.
Luton: From here you can take a mainline train directly to Brighton. This will cost about £27 and will take about 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Stansted: From Stansted you can take a mainline train to London Liverpool Street. This will take about 45 minutes. From there you can take a Central Line Underground Train to Oxford Street and then change to the Victoria Line and take a train to London Victoria. This will take about 25 minutes. At Victoria you can then take a mainline train to Eastbourne which will take about 50 minutes. This will cost approximately £40. A third option for travel is by coach. You can visit www.nationalexpress.co.uk to check journey options, prices and times.
When arriving at Brighton train or coach station, you can take a local taxi or bus to your accommodation. Once you have booked your course, our office will advise the exact location of your accommodation so you can plan this.

From there you can take a Central Underground Train to Oxford Street and then change to the Victoria Line and take an Underground Train to London Victoria. This will take about 25 minutes. At Victoria you can take a mainline train to Eastbourne which will take about 90 minutes. This will cost approximately £40.

Once you have booked your course and accommodation, our office will advise you about the location of your accommodation so you can plan your journey there from the airport. Below are the main routes into Central London from the main airports and from the Eurostar terminal:
Heathrow: Heathrow airport is on the Piccadilly Underground Line and tube trains run from here into Central London taking about 45-60 minutes depending on your final destination. You can buy a Zone 1-6 one day travelcard for this journey for approximately £8. You can also get the ‘Heathrow Express’. This is a fast train service to take you to Paddington Train Station, a central location, in just 15 minutes. It costs approx. £17. From there you can take an underground train or a bus to your final location, you can buy an underground travelcard for this part of your journey for approx. £8.
Gatwick: The best way to get from Gatwick to London is using the ‘Gatwick Express’ train. This takes about 30 minutes from Gatwick to London Victoria Station in the centre of London. From there you can take a bus or tube train to your accommodation. This will cost approximately £25 in total.
Luton: From Luton Airport Parkway station, you can take a mainline train to London St. Pancras station. This will take about 45 minutes. From there, you can take a bus or a tube train to your accommodation. This will cost approximately £20 in total.
Stansted: From Stansted you can take a mainline train to London Liverpool Street. This will take about 45 minutes. From there, you can take a bus or a tube train to your accommodation. This will cost approximately £28 in total.
London City: From London City Airport you can take a DLR (Docklands Light Railway) train into the centre of London and then change onto an Underground Line to take you to your accommodation. You can buy a Zone 1-6 day travelcard for approximately £8 for this journey.
St. Pancras (Eurostar)St Pancras train station is serviced by 6 London Underground lines as well as bus routes. From here it will therefore be possible to take an Underground train or a bus to your accommodation. You can buy a Zone 1-8 day travelcard for approximately £8 for this journey. St Giles London Central is located just 15 minutes' walk from St. Pancras, so those arriving at St. Pancras and staying at the London Central on-site Residence may like to take a local taxi from the rank at the station.
St Giles London Central is located close to Russell Square Underground station on the Picadilly Line. London Highgate is close to Highgate Underground station on the Northern Line.

From San Francisco International airport, you can take a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transport) train which services both downtown San Francisco and many of the neighbourhoods where our host families are located.

Below are the main routes into Manhattan from the main airports:
JFK Airport: From JFK Airport you can take the AirTrain to Penn Station in Manhattan. From there you can take a subway or a bus to your accommodation. Most places in Manhattan are reachable in about an hour using these public transportation routes.
Newark: From Newark Airport you can take an AirTrain to Penn Station in Manhattan, which will take about 45 minutes. From there you can take a subway or bus to your accommodation.
La Guardia: New York City buses provide an ‘NYC Airporter’ service between LaGuardia and Manhattan, where you can then take a subway to your accommodation. It is also possibly to connect directly to Queens by bus from La Guardia, if your accommodation is located there.

From Vancouver airport, you can take the ‘Canada Line’ SkyTrain to downtown Vancouver, which takes just 30 minutes. From downtown Vancouver, you can take local transportation (SkyTrain, bus or SeaBus) to your accommodation.
